Self-introduction
Hi everyone, I am Jiali Jin from the Research Institute of Forestry, Chinese Academy of Forestry, Beijing China. My research interests include GIS, spatial analysis, urban landscape ecology, and urban forest ecosystem services assessment such as the cooling effect of urban trees and forests. My work focuses on identifying and mapping the Urban forests as nature base solutions in China and contrast with European cities, exploring social perceptions of urban forests throughout China and Europe, and analyzing and managing urban and peri-urban forests that contribute to the resilience of socio-ecological urban systems. In my recent research, I am trying to evaluate the real ecological benefits that are provided by the inner-city afforestation, especially the urban cooling effect and biodiversity conservation.
