ABOUT THIS COURSE

This course introduces the Local Ecotourism Cluster as the basic participatory management structure in Mediterranean Experience of Ecotourism (MEET) Network destinations.

MEET is an example of a forum for collaborative product development, package delivery, and monitoring. The model is based on good practice principles for ecotourism development in and around protected areas.

You will explore the importance and benefits of an effective LEC. In addition, you will find out what are the keys to effective governance with a focus on participatory planning and productive public-private partnerships.
