Dear all,
Please remember to upload your group presentations via this link: Group Assignment – IUCN Academy. Only one of the group members should upload the presentation.
It is not mandatory to upload the excel file – if you wish to do so, please merge everything in one PDF file.
See you tomorrow!

Dear Maria,
Thank you for your suggestions! We have actually explored a more practical aspect during today’s live session and will continue to do so.
Keeping in mind that more detailed information, such as calculation of indicators can be found in the self-paced modules.
Best wishes,
Nasim -
Dear Maria,
Thank you for your suggestion. We currently conduct three evaluations, as this allows us to effectively monitor the results and ensure the data we gather is statistically significant.
Best wishes,

Hi Risa,
Both tools are correct to use. For the group assignment, we encourage you to use the excel sheet since it can be easier to collaborate with your group mates.
Hope this helps!

Hi Stephen,
Apologies for the delayed response.
For the last question of the individual assignment, focus on reflecting on the added value of the NbS—either from your group assignment or the solution you described in previous questions.
Additionally, consider the opportunities and challenges associated with this NbS.
Hope this helps!

Hi Sheena,
So far the cities that approached us used waste per capita (which we encourage to do). The UNI also mentioned that in addition to this ecological footprint that now is no longer available, the carbon footprint of a city can be measured.
You could calculate the carbon footprint of a given public transport here.
Hope this helps!

Hi Sheena,
1- You are not obliged to upload the document showing the entire UNI application, but most welcome to.
2- We encourage you to start by trying to apply the UNI in its entirety to Cape Town. We will let you know two weeks before the final live session (April 2) which indicators each group has to present.
Hope this helps!

Hi Stephen,
Thanks for checking. Please use the individual assignment question instead of the one in the lesson.

Hi Stephen.
Yes, for the group assignment, your group can use the “Ecosystem-based Adaptation in Durban, South Africa – the Buffelsdraai Community Reforestation Project” case study that you shared in the link. Thanks for checking.
All the best with your group assignment work, and looking forward to seeing you in the live session tomorrow.
Ruth
